Meet the owner

I am Michael Dotts. I am a husband, father of 3 and business owner. I am a San Diego native. I have been in the recovery world for the past 12 years. When I was 5 years old I was molested by multiple male individuals. This abuse and trauma continued for 6 more years until the age of 11. At 14 I began having flashbacks and night terrors of the abuse that took place and didn’t know how to cope with all of the emotions and confusion and began to escape through drugs and alcohol. I made it my ambition to not feel any pain and what started out with smoking weed and having the occasional beer lead to a 6 year heroin and meth addiction. I destroyed every relationship in the wake of my addiction. I was homeless and stuck in my arrested development. At 22 I decided I was done with life and went to commit suicide. I called my dad to say goodbye and he convinced me to meet him and he immediately took me to a men’s home out in el Centro. I kicked the drugs cold turkey and began a pursuit of God and wholeness. My journey out of the shame and pain of my past was not easy. It has been a hard fought battle, but along the way I have picked up some amazing tools and believe that any man can be restored and healed. Our team all have similar testimonies and are working out their journeys and all have the same heart and hope for the broken.
